Job summary

BISM in Maryland is seeking an ITR Youth Internship Program Manager to plan and coordinate the internship program and support special program requests. The role focuses on helping blind and low-vision individuals build job readiness, gain meaningful work experience, and strengthen their potential for competitive integrated employment.

• Nonvisual training experience required.
• Demonstrated success in delegation, staff management, and multitasking.
• Strong report writing and project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute Internship programming across three semesters per year.
• Recruit interns and market the program; design intern duties; coordinate with internal departments.
• Coordinate with external partners for programming opportunities.
• Support Summer and SUPERNOVA programming and attend related meetings.
• Represent BISM at community meetings and ensure accessibility for blind/low-vision individuals.
