Covenant House California is seeking a Housing Resource Center (HRC) Service Coordinator to support transition-age youth in Alameda County. The role involves engagement via Oakland and Hayward locations, coordinating entry services, and connecting youth to housing resources and community supports.

You'll work in a trauma-informed, youth-centered approach, with responsibilities spanning housing problem solving, CE assessments, outreach, care coordination, and housing education to help youth

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work or related field preferred, but will consider additional relevant experience.
• 2-3 years of professional experience in homeless services, child welfare or serving vulnerable populations preferred; lived experience is a plus.
• Must have strong communication skills and be a self-starter and team player; trauma-informed and strength-based approaches emphasized.

Responsabilités

• Conduct Housing Problem Solving conversations and assess immediate needs.
• Develop and maintain Housing Support Plans and CE assessments.
• Conduct outreach throughout Alameda County, including field-based work.
• Provide care coordination across housing, employment, education, healthcare, and benefits.
• Provide housing education and workshops; assist with documentation and referrals.
