Job summary

The Salvation Army in Hawaii seeks a full-time Youth Development Specialist to provide transitional living opportunities and housing services for homeless and at-risk youth. You will work within Family Intervention Services, offering case management, crisis intervention, and education support to diverse youth populations in Hawaii.

Qualifications include a BA or AS in Human Services or related field with relevant experience, TB clearance, and driving eligibility.

Qualifications

BA degree in human service or related field and one year job-related experience, or AS degree with three years experience, or HS diploma with four years related experience.
Valid TB clearance and physical exam.
FBI/Criminal History &CAN cleared.
MVR clearance meets Salvation Army standards as an authorized driver.

Responsibilities

Provide outreach services to runaway and homeless youth and young adults at risk of homelessness.
Provide housing information and assistance to clients.
Conduct assessments, case management and develop individualized living plans.
Offer transitional services in education, life skills and employment.
Provide crisis intervention and coordinate housing placement resources.
