National Youth Advocate Program in Sycamore, IL is seeking a Housing Program Case Aide to support youth and families by coordinating housing resources, completing applications, and connecting clients with community services.

The role requires driving your own vehicle, a valid license, bilingual English/Spanish preferred, and flexibility to work evenings or Saturdays as needed. NYAP offers training, benefits, and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree preferred or two years of college coursework.
• At least 2 years of direct service work; housing or social services preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with Chicagoland area preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and good driving record.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule and be responsive to clients.
• Proficient with basic computer software (word processing and spreadsheets).

Responsabilités

• Assist housing advocates to provide in-home supportive services, referrals, advocacy and other social interventions.
• Regularly communicate with program participants by phone, virtually and in person; document interactions per guidelines.
• Conduct housing searches; connect participants to community resources.
• Assist with housing applications and review rental agreements with clients.
• Follow up to review service plan implementation and outcomes.
• Assist to obtain furniture and utilities for participants; complete documentation timely.
• Participate in program-related training and other duties as assigned.
