Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP) in Homewood, IL seeks a Bilingual Spanish Housing Program Case Aide to support youth and families. Responsibilities include assisting housing advocates, coordinating referrals, and documenting client interactions to help families live safely in the community.

Qualified candidates are bilingual in English and Spanish, with an associate’s degree preferred or two years of college coursework, and must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must be bilingual in Spanish.
• Associate’s degree preferred or two years of college coursework; direct service experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist housing advocates with in-home supportive services and referrals.
• Communicate with participants via phone, virtual, and in person; document interactions per guidelines.
• Conduct housing searches and help participants connect to community resources.
• Assist with housing applications, review rental agreements, and accompany clients to view units.
• Follow up on individual service plan implementation and complete timely documentation.
• Participate in program trainings and perform other duties as assigned.
