Job summary

Utah Mammoth is seeking a Next Gen Ice Hockey Coordinator to lead Learn to Play and Continue to Play programs across Utah. You will manage planning, scheduling, promotion, and day-to-day execution, serving as primary contact for participants, families, coaches, and partners from registration to program completion.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 2 years' youth hockey experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word and Excel).
  • Employees must have reliable transportation to and from work, as well as occasional ability to travel to meet potential clients and attend industry conferences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain relationships with a varied group of individuals.
  • Self-starter, with the ability to manage several projects at once, in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work long hours, evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid Utah driver's license.
  • Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) screening in accordance with company policy and insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, scheduling, marketing & communicating Learn to Play and Continue to Play programming, while assisting with implementing all Youth Programs Department, Ice Hockey Camps, Clinics, Programs and Events including, but not limited to:
  • Booking youth hockey in-game activations
  • Rink Partner joint ventures
  • Industry Growth Fund (IGF) initiatives and programs
  • Adult Hockey programs
  • Disabled Hockey programs
  • Girls Hockey programs
  • Maintain a relationship with UAHA
  • All existing programming, as well as all new ice hockey programming that may be developed and/or administered by the youth programs Department.
  • Assist Youth Street Hockey coordinator with special projects. Ensuring strict compliance with all IGF requirements and standards, as well as all sponsor requirements and standards. Ensuring sufficient staffing for all youth events including participating in such events as a lead instructor.
  • Maintaining a detailed inventory of youth programs ice hockey property.
  • Such other duties, projects, and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Director of Amateur Hockey and Youth Strategy from time-to-time.
