Job summary

Utah Mammoth is seeking a Street Hockey Coordinator to plan, schedule, market, and fully implement all street hockey camps, clinics, programs and events for youth.

You will oversee staffing, relationships with parks departments, and the development of new programming while ensuring IGF and sponsor standards compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ youth hockey, street and rink operation experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products (Outlook, Word and Excel).
  • Must possess a valid Utah driver’s license and be able to travel to meet potential clients and attend industry conferences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain relationships with a varied group of individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, scheduling, marketing, communicating (internally and externally), and fully implementing all Youth Programs Department Camps, Clinics, Programs and Events.
  • Oversee staff hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and payroll processing for part-time staff.
  • Build relationships with parks and recreation departments and community leaders.
  • Manage existing programming and develop new programming as needed by the Youth Programs Department.
  • Ensure compliance with IGF requirements and sponsor standards.
  • Arrange jerseys and promo items as necessary for program implementation.
  • Provide staffing for Youth Programs events and participate as an instructor as needed.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Street Hockey Coordinator is responsible for planning, scheduling, marketing, communicating (both internally and externally), and fully implementing all street hockey camps, clinics, programs and events.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Planning, scheduling, marketing, communicating (both internally and externally), and fully implementing all Youth Programs Department Camps, Clinics, Programs and Events including, but not limited to:

  • Hockey 101 programs
  • Street Hockey Clinics
  • Street Hockey Leagues
  • Street Hockey Tournaments (3v3)
  • Hockey Parties
  • Pop-Up Marketing Ventures
  • Industry Growth Fund (IGF) initiatives and programs.
  • Oversee the hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance of part-time staff while ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Building positive relationships with parks and recreation departments and their community leaders.
  • All existing programming, as well as any and all new programming that may be developed and/or administered by the Youth Programs Department.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with all IGF requirements and standards, as well as any and all sponsor requirements and standards.
  • Ordering sufficient quantities and correct sizes of jerseys, t-shirts, hats, other promotional items/equipment, as approved by your director and as necessary in order to implement each of the above programs.
  • Ensuring sufficient staffing for all Youth Programs events including participating in such events as an instructor.
  • Such other duties, projects, and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Amateur Hockey Director and Manager, Street Hockey Programs.

  • Self-starter, with the ability to manage several projects at once, in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work long hours, evenings, weekends and holidays as required.

  • Must possess a valid Utah driver’s license.
  • Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) screening in accordance with company policy and insurance requirements.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.
  • This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate, and assess.
  • This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.
  • This person must be able to lift 25 lbs.
  • Position requires the ability to listen and speak on the phone, in meetings and in one-on-one conversations.
