Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of NE Florida in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Youth Development Professional - Health & Wellness (RCSA Middle) to develop youth well-being, set personal goals and foster self-sufficiency.

As part of a team, you will plan and supervise health and life-skills programs for ages 6 to 18, promote safety, character development and inclusive activities, and support program administration and reporting, including evenings until 7PM and occasional weekends.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass DCF Level II background screening and drug test.
• Knowledge of youth development.
• Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior.
• Ability to work with the public.
• Ability to plan and implement quality Health & Wellness programs.
• Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a variety of health and life skills programs for members of all ages.
• Recruit and retain youth for the health and life skills programs.
• Work with other staff to implement programs throughout the school year.
• Track and report student data for grant purposes.
• Ensure programs promote safety and quality in clubs.
• Assist in planning and implementing the strategic program plan.
