Job summary

City of Evanston is seeking a Program Coordinator to oversee gymnastics, dance and tumbling programs and youth camps. You will manage locations, staff, vendors and program guides to deliver safe, engaging activities for residents.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and community outreach, with flexibility for evenings and weekends as needed. This is a full-time municipal position within Evanston’s Parks and Recreation Department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred from an accredited college or university in Recreation, Education, Leisure Studies or similar.
• CPRP certification preferred.
• Background in gymnastics, dance, and cheer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee gymnastics, cheer, tumbling, and dance classes, camps and programs.
• Train, schedule, evaluate and supervise staff.
• Develop and implement youth programs and camps; manage partnerships.
