Job summary

The Brien Center for Mental Health in Pittsfield, MA, seeks a dedicated Family-Based Intensive Treatment (FIT) team member to provide structured, one-to-one support to parents and guardians of youth with emotional and behavioral needs. The role focuses on empowering families to meet treatment goals and connect with community resources.

Weekdays on 1st shift, you will work in home and community settings, maintain thorough documentation, and collaborate with the FIT team to improve youth

Qualifications

• High school diploma or HISET with 2+ years experience with children/adolescents/transition-age youth
• Associate's degree in human services with 1 year experience with children/adolescents/transition-age youth
• Bachelor's degree in human services with 1 year experience with the target population
• Prior caregiver experience with youth with special needs, preferably mental health needs
• Experience navigating child and family-serving systems and teaching family members involved with the system
• Valid Driver's License and use of a personally insured vehicle for agency business

Responsibilities

• Adheres to applicable state and federal regulations and organizational policies
• Engages parent/caregiver/guardian in activities at home and in the community to support treatment goals
• Delivers services to improve parent capacity to address youth behavioral or emotional needs
• Attends FIT meetings and assists families in articulating strengths, needs, and goals
• Maintains contact with the family 3-5 times per week
• Offers services in home, community, schools, day care, foster homes, and other settings
• Completes required documentation per agency policy and performance specifications
