Job summary

The Brien Center is seeking a Family-Based Intensive Treatment (FIT) support specialist in Pittsfield, MA. Qualifications

• High school diploma or HISET with 2 years experience with children/adolescents/transition-age youth.
• OR an Associate’s degree in human services with 1 year of relevant experience.
• OR a Bachelor’s degree in human services with 1 year of relevant experience.
• Valid Driver’s License and use of personally insured vehicle for agency business.

Responsibilities

• Provides consistent, structured one-to-one support to parents, caregivers, or guardians of youth with emotional and behavioral health needs.
• Engages parent, caregiver, or guardian in activities in the home and community to meet goals on the youth's treatment plan.
• Delivers services designed to support a parent, caregiver, or guardian in improving capacity to ameliorate or resolve a youth’s needs.
• Attends FIT meetings and assists the parent, caregiver, guardian in articulating the youth’s strengths, needs, and goals.
• Maintains contact with the family 3-5 times per week.
• Offers and delivers services in the home, community, schools, day care, foster homes, and other community settings.
• Completes all required documentation in accordance with agency policy and performance specifications.
