Job summary

Earlywine Park YMCA is seeking a Youth and Family Department Coordinator to support and enhance youth and family development programs. You will help plan, organize, and run activities for Child Watch, School Age Care and Summer Day Camp, ensuring a safe, engaging environment for children and families.

Responsibilities include facilitating staff and volunteer activities, communicating with parents and partners, maintaining records, and promoting participation while upholding YMCA safety

Qualifications

• CPR/AED/O2 and First Aid current (annual renewal).
• Must be 21+ with experience with infants, children and families.
• Scheduling, supervising and evaluating staff; effective communication.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework or degree preferred in related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing department programs (Child Watch, School Age Care, Summer Day Camp)
• Support daily operations ensuring a safe, inclusive environment
• Collaborate with staff and volunteers to deliver high‑quality activities
• Communicate with parents, guardians, and partners to promote participation
• Maintain program records, attendance and YMCA safety standards
• Assist in recruiting, training and supervising staff and volunteers
• Contribute to development of new program ideas to meet community needs
