Job summary

Jelleff Recreation Center in Washington, DC is seeking a Club Experience Director to lead youth programming and ensure high-quality, trauma-informed engagement for children and teens. The role focuses on Four priority outcomes and equity, with strong emphasis on data-driven improvement and community impact.

The successful candidate will design, implement, and evaluate comprehensive programs, collaborate across clubs, and manage staffing, budgets, and data systems to support outcomes and youth

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in youth development, education, public administration or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership in youth development, preferably in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and outcomes-based program evaluation.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Experience designing, implementing and evaluating youth programs across health, education and life/work readiness.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and evaluate inclusive, outcome-based youth programs.
• Collaborate with other Club Experience Directors for programmatic cohesion.
• Utilize the YPQI framework to ensure quality and youth engagement.
• Ensure data collection supports continuous improvement and reporting.
• Lead staffing, scheduling, budget oversight and safety protocols.
• Coordinate with operations to ensure adequate staffing and resources.
• Promote equity, youth voice, and inclusive programming.
