Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington invites applications for the Club Experience Director (CED) at our Jelleff Recreation Center in Washington, DC. This full-time exempt role leads strategic, trauma-informed youth programming aligned with our collective impact agenda to empower teens and younger members.

The CED designs and evaluates programs in health, readiness, character, and academics; partners with schools and communities; and guides staff while ensuring safe, inclusive environments

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (youth development, education, public administration or related field) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership in youth development.
• Demonstrated expertise in program strategy and implementation.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care, youth development practices, and inclusive programming.
• Proven EQ skills; resolving conflicts, motivating teams and fostering an inclusive work environment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
• Experience working with teens and developing programs for diverse populations.
• Proficiency in data analysis and outcomes-based program evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Program Leadership & Implementation: design, implement, and evaluate inclusive, outcome-based youth programs.
• Elevating the Teen & Tween Experience: create programs addressing social, emotional, and development priorities.
• Community Engagement & Partnerships: build relationships with schools, organizations, and stakeholders.
• Operational Oversight & Staff Development: ensure safety, oversee operations, train staff and volunteers, and run weekly meetings.
