Qualifications

  • Minimum qualifications: high school diploma and four years of relevant experience; valid driver's license.
  • Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's degree in education, youth development, human development and family studies or related field; 3–5 years coordinating 4-H events or youth activities; strong organizational and program management skills; experience with volunteers; experience with word processing, databases, social media and emerging technologies; program development, teaching and evaluation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage statewide 4-H events and activities.
  • Develop risk management plans for events.
  • Plan programs and manage financial resources for the unit.
  • Lead teams of youth and adult volunteers to deliver events.
  • Communicate with stakeholders using electronic, digital, and social media tools.
