Job summary

arc After School and Experiential Education is seeking a Specialized Instructor for Alliance Neuwirth Leadership Academy in Los Angeles, CA. The role is part-time and non-exempt, teaching interactive enrichment lessons to students during designated after-school hours.

You will develop syllabi, manage attendance, and ensure safety and program compliance while collaborating with the Site Coordinator. Experience with youth, bilingual abilities, and CPR certification are valued.

Qualifications

• Availability to work set school programming hours, including early dismissal days and weekends.
• Experience facilitating specialized curriculum to students.
• Experience in school settings, after school programs, or youth recreational facilities.
• TB Test Clearance & Live Scan Background Check.
• LAUSD SSO if placed and Risk Management Training (RMT) requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and facilitate a full syllabus and lesson plans for enrichment activities.
• Manage students sign in/out and complete incident reports; follow program compliance.
• Instruct enrichment time block meeting minimum student-instructor ratios.
• Market and advertise the enrichment program to students and recruit on campus.
• Demonstrate leadership and empower youth; maintain safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally; share information for program operations.
• Participate in ongoing staff development and training; implement feedback.
• Other duties as assigned.
