Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a part-time enrichment staff to deliver high-quality after-school and day camp activities, focusing on youth development and the YMCA core values. You will supervise children, assist in setting up activities, ensure safety, and collaborate with families and school staff.

CPR/First Aid certified candidates are preferred; prior childcare experience is beneficial. Join a team dedicated to creating a positive, inclusive environment and supporting families

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years of age.
• CPR, First Aid and AED certifications required.
• Experience working with children in developmental settings preferred.
• Ability to plan and implement age-appropriate activities.
• Experience with diverse populations.
• TB exam/immunization as required by health authorities.

Responsibilities

• Program quality: implement enrichment plans for center and outdoor activities.
• Leadership: supervise children and model YMCA core values.
• Daily operations: assist with setup/breakdown and maintain standards.
• Relationship building: engage with families, staff and school personnel.
• Adhere to safety and abuse reporting policies.
