Job summary

AmeriCorps is seeking an Outreach and Engagement Specialist to uplift student voices and strengthen connections within the LYTE community through the Student Sponsorship Program, a monthly newsletter, Instagram content, and website updates.

The role emphasizes collaboration, attention to detail, and the ability to highlight student impact. The position runs 09/16/2026–05/31/2027, is part-time, and based in Delaware with stipend support and an education award upon completion.

Qualifications

• Some college education or equivalent required.
• Excellent writing and editing skills.
• Strong communications and community outreach abilities.
• Ability to engage youth and families.
• Collaborative team player with detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Amplify student voices by creating and sharing stories, testimonials, and highlights that showcase their journeys and successes.
• Manage and grow outreach channels including the Student Sponsorship Program, monthly newsletter, Instagram, and website updates.
• Engage students, families, and supporters through consistent, accessible, and mission-driven communication.
• Collaborate with program staff and students to capture authentic content that reflects LYTE’s impact.
• Track engagement and feedback across platforms to strengthen communication strategies and deepen community connection.
