Job summary

AmeriCorps is seeking a Student Engagement Specialist to provide individualized coaching for college selection and applications, helping families access FAFSA and CSS Profile support, and deliver after-school math and English instruction for middle school students in Delaware.

This full-time role supports students on their educational journey, with a focus on building academic skills, confidence, and informed postsecondary decisions, commencing 09/16/2026 and ending 12/31/2026.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong written and verbal communication; tutoring and teaching abilities.
• Experience working with youth or families is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized coaching to students and families throughout college selection and application.
• Assist with navigating financial aid resources (FAFSA/CSS Profile).
• Deliver after-school math and English instruction to middle school students.
