Columbus Metropolitan Library is seeking a Youth Engagement Specialist to create positive, enriching experiences for youth and their caregivers through engaging conversations, activities, and literacy promotion. You will help develop and deliver programs aligned with the Young Minds Strategy and may engage with schools and community groups to expand reach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2-3 years of youth experience or community engagement preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Engage youth and families, promote literacy and reading.
• Plan, promote and present programs for children of all ages at the location and off-site.
• Conduct outreach to schools and organizations serving youth.
• Provide high level customer service and connect with community partners.
• Support youth development and learning while ensuring a welcoming environment.
• Maintain and organize juvenile materials and displays.
