Job summary

The American Heart Association in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Development Coordinator for the Youth Engagement VP Team. This part-time, temporary role reports to the VP of Youth Engagement and supports school outreach, data entry, online material orders, and coordination with print vendors.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of three years in a supporting role, strong Microsoft Office and communication skills, and the ability to travel to local schools.

Qualifications

• Three years of prior experience in a supporting role.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.
• Excellent written communication skills
• Demonstrated track record of meeting deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills and the willingness to work with all social strata, occupations, and a variety of backgrounds.
• Ability to travel to/from home to local schools.
• Ability to work as part of an integrated team.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the local Youth Engagement Director with their fundraising duties such as helping to schedule/implement Kick Off Assemblies and delivering/picking up various items from local schools (mileage reimbursement will apply).
• Data entry, spreadsheet management and expense report assistance
• Helping to facilitate online material orders for schools and staff
• Working with local print vendor to help facilitate print orders
• Ensure adherence to all national and regional Youth Engagement policies, guidelines and procedures.
• Collaborate with national and regional counterparts in other areas of the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Manage and maintain accurate volunteer and supporter information within our customer relationship management (CRM) system and Microsoft platforms, ensuring data is current and up to date.
