Job summary

The Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) protects and promotes the safety and well-being of children and families through child welfare and juvenile justice services and community supports. ACS manages supports, foster care and subsidized childcare vouchers, and responds to maltreatment concerns.

The Division of Family Permanency Services (FPS) supports foster care children and providers, while FPS staff guide policies and procedures to improve service delivery for safety and permanency.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in an appropriate field of physical, biological, environmental science or public health.
• For Assignment Level II and above, a doctorate or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two years as City Research Scientist Level I can substitute for some requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of program coordinators for recruitment, coordination and support.
• Collect and analyze data related to portfolio programs and conduct client/staff surveys.
• Develop performance benchmarks, scorecards, site visit checklists and related tools; monitor and report findings.
• Develop improvement plans and provide technical assistance to providers as needed.
• Draft policies, procedures and communications regarding programs.
• Coordinate with ACS units and city partners; plan provider meetings and events.
• Review invoices and authorize payments per contract standards; manage procurement and renewals.
