Job summary

The Administration for Children's Services (ACS) in New York City seeks a Staff Analyst to join the CFWB Policy and Compliance unit. The role supports risk, integrity, and program compliance, focusing on child care assistance, fraud detection, and safeguarding funds.

Reporting to the Director for Risk and Integrity, duties include investigations of providers, reviewing cases, training eligibility staff, and coordinating with NYC DSS Front End Detection System.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in a relevant field or Juris Doctor as applicable.
• Two years of professional experience in public budget, accounting, or program evaluation.
• Equivalency pathways with college credits may substitute for experience.
• Strong writing and analytical skills with attention to fraud indicators.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations, including site visits and administrative reviews of child care providers.
• Review cases to verify continued need for child care and refer fraud cases using FEDS indicators.
• Complete monthly reports on cases identified using FEDS indicators.
• Provide training to eligibility workers on fraud indicators and procedures.
