Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. is seeking an Education and Workforce Readiness Instructor to support and motivate at-risk youth to re-engage in education and workforce programming.

The Educator will deliver life skills and workforce readiness programming, including CBT-based interventions, in alignment with program benchmarks and organizational goals. The role involves assessing participants, creating schedules, monitoring progress, and collaborating with youth workers to maximize attendance and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; post-collegiate experience preferred with disenfranchised youth
• Experience teaching or working with high-risk, urban youth preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; ESL teaching experience considered a plus
• Strong written and oral communication skills; excellent group management abilities
• Ability to outreach to, engage and motivate youth; ability to manage multiple tasks

Responsibilities

• Provide weekly attendance and participant target lists for educational classes
• Conduct outreach to youth to increase participation in programming
• Build relationships with youth to support change and skill development
• Identify barriers to participation (substance use, street issues) and coordinate supports
• Administer educational assessments to measure progress and readiness
• Design and deliver programming for youth at various readiness levels
• Maintain data in ETO and monitor program outcomes
• Travel within service area as required
• Participate in curriculum development and staff trainings
