Job summary

The Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians invites applications for a Family Services Specialist. Under the Early Childhood Programs Manager, you will ensure regulatory compliance and support families in accessing services.

You will develop partnerships, oversee family education activities, conduct home visits, and maintain records. The role requires an Associate’s degree and experience with family services; CPR/First Aid certification within one year; valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Human Services or related field required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• One year of experience working with families preferred.
• Must obtain CPR/First Aid certification within one year of hire.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable.

Responsibilities

• Implements Federal, State, and Tribal family services regulations.
• Develops and monitors Family Partnership Agreements and Family Mapping.
• Identifies community resources and assists families in obtaining services.
• Maintains collaboration with community agencies and tracks services provided.
• Develops and facilitates parent committees and education activities.
• Performs family service home visits and collects donation/volunteer documents.
• Maintains publications and community resource directories.
