Job summary

Boys & Girls Club in Olympia is seeking a Youth Development Professional to deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate programs for K-5 students and occasional Teen Center coverage. The role emphasizes safe, energetic interactions and positive relationships with youth and families.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, strong communication and teamwork skills, and CPR/First Aid certification. Background checks and drug screening are required; bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or current enrollment).
• Demonstrated experience working with youth, families, and/or community partners.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities in a collaborative environment.
• Mandatory CPR and First Aid certifications (course available upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise activities in program areas such as Games Room, Art, Gym, Education Room, Tech Lab and Outdoors.
• Deliver age-appropriate programs for children in K-5; Teen Center coverage may occur.
• Maintain a safe, positive environment and supervise activities.
• Foster a high-energy Boys & Girls Club culture with teamwork and collaboration.
• Attend branch staff meetings and mandatory trainings; assist with front desk as needed.
