Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Utah County is seeking a part-time Youth Development Professional to empower children at Cherry Hill Elementary. You will mentor youth, lead engaging activities, and model positive social-emotional skills in a safe, supportive environment.

Ideal candidates have experience with youth in educational or recreational settings, strong communication, and a willingness to engage in ongoing paid training.

The Details

• Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
• Location: Mountain Trails Elementary
• Schedule: Part-Time (Estimated 15-18 hours/week). Monday–Thursday (Approx. 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM)
• Commitment: September 14, 2026 – May 21, 2027

What You Will Do

• Mentor & Engage: Build positive, supportive relationships with youth through active engagement.
• Lead the Fun: Facilitate and participate in games, recreational activities, and enrichment programs both indoors and outdoors.
• Support Growth: Help children develop social and emotional intelligence by modeling positive communication, empathy, and conflict resolution.
• Maintain Safety: Provide active supervision to ensure a physically and emotionally safe space for all participants.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience working with youth (ages 5–18) in an educational, recreational, or team setting is preferred.
• A reliable team player with a positive, professional attitude and strong communication skills.
• Willingness to actively participate in weekly, monthly, and quarterly paid training and professional development.
• Ability to actively supervise children, stand/walk for extended periods, and lift 25–50 lbs.
