Job summary

Isabella County Day Treatment Program in Mount Pleasant, MI is seeking a Youth Development Worker. This full-time role supports adolescents in a structured, therapeutic environment, helping them build life skills and behavioral change.

You will supervise and mentor youth, foster positive relationships, facilitate group activities, and implement treatment plans while ensuring safety and confidentiality. A valid driver’s license and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience working with adolescents in a child care or related setting.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to pass criminal background and driving record checks.
• Ability to complete CPR and First Aid training.
• Maintain required annual training hours.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor youth in a structured therapeutic environment.
• Build positive relationships while providing guidance and support.
• Facilitate group activities and individual interactions.
• Implement treatment plans and behavioral interventions.
• Transport youth to and from the program and activities.
• Administer medications as directed and maintain documentation.
• Complete required reports and progress notes.
• Participate in Treatment Team meetings and trainings.
• Maintain a clean, safe program environment.
• Assist with daily program operations and meals.
• Ensure safety and confidentiality of all youth.
