Job summary

Klingberg Comprehensive Program Services Inc in Plymouth, CT seeks a Youth Development Specialist to join a licensed group home. The role is full-time, providing direct care to assigned clients and assisting in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.

You will support daily living skills, coordinate transportation, model respectful communication, and help families engage in the rehabilitation process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; High School Diploma required.
• Experience in a therapeutic group setting preferred.
• Maintain TCI, CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary childcare worker and participate in treatment plans.
• Maintain group home programs and ensure consistency of care.
• Foster a therapeutic environment and promote self-esteem.
• Provide transportation and life-skills instruction.
• Plan recreational activities with supervision and staff.
• Ensure safety and report unsafe conditions to supervisors.
• Maintain trainings and certifications including emergency procedures.
