Job summary

D.A. Blodgett- St. John's is seeking a Youth Development Specialist to provide direct care and supervision for youth and young adults within Campus Programs, including Independent Living and Residential programs.

You will build warm, therapeutic relationships, respond to challenging behavior, and mentor youth in social and personal skills. The role emphasizes de-escalation, positive reinforcement, and teamwork within agency programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college coursework preferred.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• At least one year of experience working with or volunteering with children.
• Experience with adolescents who have emotional and behavioral challenges preferred.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Ability to work with a variety of people both within and outside DABSJ.
• Commitment to DABSJ's mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring supervision, health, and safety of youth.
