Job summary

Greater Peoria Family YMCA is seeking a dynamic leader to develop and oversee childcare summer camps, after-school programs, Teen REACH, and related activities in Peoria. You will supervise two program coordinators, build relationships with schools and community partners, and drive program growth while maintaining safety and compliance.

This role emphasizes high-quality programming, staff training, budget oversight, and collaboration with Marketing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, Social Work, and/or Recreation.
• Three years of experience in a related field with comparable program growth.
• Two to three years of demonstrated experience in leading and managing staff and volunteers.
• Ability to effectively work/interact with diverse populations.
• Computer literacy including knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook and database management.
• Time management efficiency.
• Ability to successfully obtain certification in CPR/AED and First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement high-quality childcare summer camp, after-school programs, and related programming.
• Lead and supervise Youth Development and Teen REACH team members.
• Ensure program compliance with federal, state, and YMCA standards.
• Monitor program participation and growth through evaluation data.
• Collaborate with Marketing to promote program areas.
