Job summary

The Greater Peoria Family YMCA is seeking a Youth Program Lead to oversee the development and operations of the childcare program and each site, including School’s Day Out, Summer Day Camp, Before & After School, and STRONG Kids.

The role coordinates with the Youth Development Director, manages budgets, recruits staff, ensures compliance with regulations, and builds partnerships with families and community organizations to advance program outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 1–2 years related experience in childcare program supervision or coordination.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups and maintain ADA compliance.
• Commitment to inclusive programs and community partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development and operations of the childcare program and sites.
• Manage program budget and monitor participation and statistics.
• Recruit, train, and evaluate staff; maintain staff schedules.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations; safety procedures.
• Collaborate with families, community organizations, and school administrators.
• Lead before/after school site and assist with Summer Day Camp operations.
