Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of America in Bethalto, IL is seeking a part-time, seasonal Youth Development Professional for after-school programs. The role focuses on developing recreational, art, life skills, sports, and technology activities that support academic and social success for youth.

Responsibilities include planning within budget, coordinating with the Site Director, recruiting participants, enforcing conduct standards, and organizing field trips and special events to expand program

Qualifications

Knowledge of youth development and ability to motivate youth through positive relationships.
Strong verbal and written communication with youth, parents and staff.
Valid Illinois Driver's License and reliable transportation.
Ability to relate to diverse participants and the public.

Responsibilities

Plans and implements activities within budget constraints with the site director.
Provides Site/Project Director with regular schedules and reports of activities.
Assists with recruiting participants and focuses on personal development through diverse program offerings.
Implements guidance and discipline policies for program participants.
Identifies community resources/volunteers to assist with the program.
Plans and leads field trips and special events to showcase participant skills.
Assists with enrollment, clerical duties, and record keeping.
