Job summary

The YMCA is looking for a Youth Development Leader in Katy, Texas. This part-time position involves engaging with children in before/after school and day camp programs, providing a safe and fun environment.

You will help children learn and grow through structured activities while embodying YMCA values of honesty, respect, and responsibility. Additional perks include a temporary stipend of $3.00 per hour, free YMCA membership, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Six months of experience working with youth in a licensed facility, school, or similar setting.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention training (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to pass state/local background checks and fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor activities, conduct headcounts, and ensure children are safe.
• Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment.
• Lead games, projects, and hands-on learning activities.
• Demonstrate the YMCA's values.
• Help maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Connect with children, families, and your YMCA team.
• Follow child-protection policies.
