Job summary

Alpha is hiring for a Youth Development Manager to lead a cohort of K-3 students, coaching Guides and students using data and classroom observations to drive measurable gains. The role emphasizes building repeatable coaching playbooks, workshops, and direct mentoring of Guides while maintaining high expectations.

You will work in person at an Alpha campus in New York City, NY or Miami, FL; relocation support is provided.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, Organizational Leadership, Child Development, or related field.
At least 5 years experience with elementary-aged children (ages 5–9).
Experience leading teams of 5+ people with performance management & hiring.
Proven track record building or growing a program or initiative.
Demonstrated success using data to improve team or student performance.
Strong storytelling and facilitation for young children; coach adults with clear expectations.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Coach Guides and students using performance data to achieve measurable improvements.
Facilitate workshops for K-3 focused on communication, resilience, collaboration, accountability, focus, and other life skills.
Lead one-on-one and small-group coaching sessions linking motivation to growth.
Build and refine coaching playbooks to raise performance across the Guide team.
Train and mentor Guides with exemplary coaching and facilitation daily.
