Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County Inc is seeking a Youth Development Professional to plan, implement, supervise and evaluate activities in Social Recreation, Sports/STEM/Digital Media within the club setting.

The role focuses on mentoring youth, promoting participation, ensuring safety, and delivering engaging programs while collaborating with staff and volunteers to support members' growth and learning.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of related work experience.
• CPR and First Aid Certifications preferred.
• Valid State Driver’s License.
• Experience in working with children and youth development.
• Ability to create interactive and educational activities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
• Background checks and level 2 screening are required.

Responsibilities

• Create and supervise activities in Social Recreation & Sports/STEM/Digital Media.
• Engage youth, promote attendance and participation.
• Mentor youth and provide guidance and role modeling.
• Implement and administer programs and activities.
• Monitor safety and quality of programs and appearance.
• Plan and facilitate purposeful activities and group projects.
• Submit attendance sheets, lesson plans and administrative tasks.
• Participate in staff trainings and meetings.
• Maintain daily contact with staff, members and supervisor.
