Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County Inc. is seeking a Youth Development Professional to join the Club Operations team. The role plans, implements, supervises and evaluates activities across social recreation, the arts, academics and technology education to support youth outcomes.

You will work part-time, engage youth, mentor and guide leadership, oversee safe activities, and participate in staff meetings, background screening and daily set-up/close of program areas.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of work-related skill or experience.
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
• Valid State Driver’s License.
• Experience with children and youth development.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment that facilitates youth development outcomes.
• Ensure engagement, participation, and attendance of youth in activities.
• Mentor youth and provide guidance, role modeling, and leadership development.
• Effectively implement and administer programs, services and activities.
• Monitor safety and maintain club appearance at all times.
• Plan and facilitate engaging activities and group projects.
• Submit regular lesson plans and attendance sheets; perform admin duties.
• Participate in staff training and meetings; support teamwork.
• Maintain daily contact with staff, members, and supervisor.
• Assist with setup and daily close of the program area.
