Responsibilities

• Supervises and maintains group control during activities.
• Prevents escapes, suicide attempts and violent behavior.
• Conducts regular visual checks and documents findings.
• Receives and processes new juveniles per rules and regulations.
• Screens referred juveniles for detention or release after training.
• Observes residents and addresses needs individually or in groups.
• Assists residents with counseling and positive attitude development.
• Maintains calm handling of crises and crisis counseling.
