Job summary

YMCA of Greater Houston in Houston, TX seeks an enrichment program facilitator to deliver high-quality activities aligned with the YMCA mission. You will create a safe, welcoming environment for children and families while promoting growth, creativity, and confidence.

You will collaborate with site leadership, supervise children, ensure safety, track attendance, and contribute to program evaluation. Flexible hours and opportunities to participate in trainings are included.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in enrichment programs.
• Ability to plan, organize, and implement age-appropriate activities.
• Strong written and verbal communication with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver enrichment lessons or activities.
• Create a welcoming, inclusive learning environment.
• Adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs, abilities, and backgrounds.
• Responsible for setup and cleanup of program areas before and after class.
• Supervises children under the direct guidance of site leadership.
• Fosters a safe environment, both indoors and outdoors.
• Ensures program areas are clean, organized, and prepared for activities.
• Tracks attendance, maintains accurate records, and submits required reports as directed.
• Models positive behavior and YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility, and faith.
• Maintains professional and friendly communication with children, families, and fellow staff.
• Supports program evaluation efforts by providing feedback and recommending improvements.
• Follows all YMCA policies and program standards including safety, child abuse prevention, and incident reporting. Addresses and reports concerns immediately.
• Participates in center related events, meetings, and staff trainings as required.
• All other duties as assigned or in support of the role.
