Job summary

Heart of Texas Behavioral Health Network is seeking a Counselor/LPHA to provide clinical services at the Diversion Center. Responsibilities include psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, discharge planning, and individual/group counseling in coordination with the treatment team.

The role requires a master’s degree and LPHA licensure or candidate status, with one year of case management experience preferred. Alternating 12-hour shifts and a competitive benefits package are included.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or related field.
  • LPHA license (LPC/LCSW/LMFT) or licensure candidate.
  • One year case management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide crisis and substance abuse counseling per community mental health standards.
  • Maintain a therapeutic environment at the Diversion Center.
  • Develop after-care plans for returning the individual to the community.
  • Provide feedback to the treatment team including physicians on behalf of the individual.
  • Maintain timely documentation.
