Job summary

The Los Angeles Conservation Corps seeks a Crew Supervisor at West Valley Site, Reseda, CA. You will lead a team of 5–12 participants, supervise field projects, ensure safety, and coordinate education-focused activities while building youth employability.

You will recruit, train, and mentor corpsmembers, plan schedules, maintain equipment, and produce project reports, with a strong emphasis on community involvement and professional development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency required; higher degrees preferred.
• At least six months experience working with youth.
• Ability to work variable schedules.
• Proficiency with computer skills for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Motivates corpsmembers to fulfill education, development and work plans and goals.
• Supervises the crew in the completion of service projects including trail maintenance/construction, restoration, and park construction projects.
• Supervises corpsmember crews while performing field instructions.
• Trains and guides the team in project development tasks.
• Implements work projects timely and efficiently from start to finish.
• Prepares daily and monthly reports of project work assignments.
