Job summary

Los Angeles Conservation Corps is seeking an Entry-level Crew Supervisor at the West Valley Site in Reseda, CA. The role leads a crew of 5–12 program participants aged 18–24, focusing on training, safety, and project execution in conservation work.

Responsibilities include motivating youth, coordinating projects, ensuring safety, and producing progress reports. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with willingness to train in safety and equipment use.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency required; AA and/or Bachelor’s degree preferred & at least 6 months experience with youth OR equivalent experience
• Proficiency with tools/safety equipment appropriate for various work projects and ability to supervise crew

Responsibilities

• Motivates corpsmembers to fulfill education and work plans and goals
• Supervises crew in service projects, including trail maintenance and park construction
• Coordinates work projects and schedules; ensures safe work practices and proper equipment maintenance
• Prepares daily and monthly reports of project assignments
• Counsels and provides positive reinforcement to corpsmembers
