Job summary

YMCA of Greater Indianapolis in Westfield, IN is seeking a Part Time Program Instructor to provide quality leadership in group exercise classes under the Program Director, creating a safe, non-competitive environment for members.

Responsibilities include demonstrating aerobic choreography, giving clear directions, and ensuring classroom safety while adhering to YMCA standards. Requires high school diploma and experience; CPR/First Aid certifications preferred or obtainable within 60–90 days.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma and experience leading group exercise is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic exercise science, biomechanics principles and fitness class leadership is required.
• Ability to successfully demonstrate aerobic choreography.
• Maintain current CPR/AED, First Aid, Child Abuse Prevention certifications or the ability to obtain within 60-90 days of employment.

• Under the direction and supervision of the Program Director, the Program Instructor will provide quality leadership and supervision in group exercise classes, while maintaining a safe, non-competitive environment for YMCA members.
