YMCA of Greater Indianapolis, located at Irsay YMCA in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a part-time Program Instructor to lead safe, engaging classes in health, wellness, sports, or fitness areas.

The role emphasizes a welcoming, inclusive environment that supports safety, skill development, confidence, and ongoing YMCA participation within a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience coaching, teaching, instructing, or leading structured programs preferred.
• Knowledge of basic exercise science, fitness leadership, or sports instruction preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate curriculum, skills, movements, or activities safely and effectively.
• Ability to provide clear directions, monitor participants, and respond to safety needs.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and participant service skills.
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain within YMCA timeline.
