Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a Youth Center Program Lead in Spokane to plan, coordinate, and implement activities for children in the community center. You will work directly with families and staff, providing leadership for recreational programs and tutoring support.

The role requires a high school diploma, childcare experience, and the ability to pass a background check; a Washington driver's license and CPR/First Aid are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Childcare experience is required.
• Washington Driver's License and ability to pass a background check are required or preferred.
• CPR and First Aid Certification is preferred or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Act as the point of contact for families and staff of the program
• Ensure safety and enforce facility rules and procedures
• Supervise children and activities of the program
• Provide leadership for recreational activities
• Assist with schoolwork tutoring and program planning
• Participate in staff training and development
• Collaborate with staff/volunteers to promote positive attitudes and service
• Ensure safety and security of center operations
