The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a Youth Center Program Assistant to support community-center activities, work with children, and help deliver after-school programs in a safe, faith-based environment.

You will supervise groups, assist with tutoring, enforce safety rules, and participate in staff training. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is required, with opportunities to contribute to family-night events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; early childhood education credits preferred.
• Childcare experience preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or obtainable.

Responsabilités

• Supervise children and activities as assigned.
• Provide leadership for recreational activities.
• Assist youth with schoolwork and tutoring needs.
• Enforce safety rules and procedures.
• Assist with Youth Center/After-School program planning.
• Participate in staff training and development programs.
• Work with staff/volunteers to foster positive attitudes and Christian values.
• Ensure safety and security of participants and facilities.
• Assist with facility maintenance and cleaning as assigned.
• Complete Protect the Mission training and maintain PTM standards.
• Support Youth Center After-School Programming and Corps Family Night Programs.
• Available to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
