Job summary

LA Promise Fund is seeking a Work Readiness Coordinator to join the Career Pathway Connections team in Los Angeles. You will facilitate workforce workshops, coordinate field trips, and help students earn work readiness badges.

The role includes managing The Intern Project, coaching students in internships, and overseeing social media content for CPC programs, with travel up to 80% and a full-time exempt schedule.

Qualifications

• Degreed or pursuing a Degree in marketing/communications, business, education, STEM, or other related field.
• 1-2 years of experience working with teams on projects, internal/external teams, preferably within K-12 Los Angeles schools, nonprofit, and/or higher education
• Planning skills, organization, and program support

Responsibilities

• Lead in-person workshops at Westbrook Academy and other local school partners to help students earn work readiness badges (resume development, cover letters, mock interviews, etc).
• Coordinate field trips, career fairs, and panels for Westbrook Academy.
• Data stewardship and coordination across Westbrook Academy to monitor progress of students meeting milestones to receive Work Readiness Certifications.
• Create social media content, engage with students and partners, and track responses for CPC programs.
