Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach is seeking a Part-Time Student Success Coordinator to lead college and career readiness initiatives for youth across Legacy Clubhouses. You will provide individualized guidance, plan workshops, and track progress using data-driven practices.

Responsibilities include collaborating with staff and partners, supporting FAFSA and scholarship processes, and engaging alumni. A Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in youth programs are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in youth development, case management, or college access programs.
• Knowledge of college readiness, financial aid, and career pathways.
• Experience facilitating workshops with diverse youth populations.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple sites, priorities, and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, one-on-one case management for youth across all Legacy Clubhouses.
• Develop and monitor personalized academic and career plans aligned with student goals.
• Track student progress, engagement, and outcomes using data-driven practices.
• Conduct regular check-ins to support academic persistence, goal setting, and decision-making.
• Plan and facilitate monthly workshops utilizing BGCLB programs (d2D, Money Matters, Career Launch).
• Deliver engaging, high-quality programming that promotes post-secondary readiness and workforce development.
• Create a safe, inclusive, youth-centered environment that elevates youth voice and participation.
