Job summary

The City of Baltimore is seeking a Maryland Blueprint Career Counselor who will deliver career advising to middle and high school students in partnership with the Mayor’s Office of Employment Development and Baltimore City Public Schools. The role supports Blueprint implementation to ensure students pursue college and career pathways with 1:1 and group advising.

The Counselor will work with school staff, MOED navigators, and industry partners to connect students to opportunities and track

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
• Two years of directly related experience with youth.
• Equivalency Notes: an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Provide career advising to help students plan post‑college pathways.
• Monitor and track student experiences through work‑based learning.
• Collaborate with school staff, MOED navigators, and partners to support outcomes.
• Coordinate career readiness activities like mock interviews and resume workshops.
• Maintain accurate records and data for reports.
