Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in school counseling.
• Maryland Educator Professional Certificate with School Counselor endorsement required.
• Licensure: Maryland Educator Professional License for School Counselor or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Assist students individually or in groups to develop academic, career and personal/social skills and plans.
• Provide individual and group counseling; collaborate with parents, teachers and staff.
• Implement the comprehensive school counseling program based on ASCA model and school data.
• Maintain program management, monitoring, and accountability; report results when needed.
• Conduct yearly program audit and communicate results to stakeholders.
